I have always loved to dance, all the way back
to the "Twist". I remember during the disco era, my
girlfriends and I created our own line dances. Then I
"discovered" bellydance two years ago in a class led by
Annette. I absolutely love it and I hope to bellydance 'til
I'm at least 80. |

To answer an
previous question: The instructor that I cannot wait to learn from is Suhaila
Salimpour. Her mother, Jamila, is credited with creating tribal style
bellydance and Suhaila is carrying on her mother's teaching. Suhaila is
a beautiful dancer and what strikes me most is how much she seems to be
enjoying herself. Her smile while she is dancing is illuminating. |
